Pool, Deck & Gate System Update
The GBHA is excited to announce the opening of our new deck at the clubhouse!  The original deck was twenty years old.  After an inspection it was determined the deck needed to be replaced.  The electrical system is being updated with new fixtures, a new under-decking system will be added, and a new black picket railing has been installed to bring the deck into the 21st century.  Hopefully the carpenter bees will find a new home!  We look forward to many years of happy occasions and parties on the new deck!

We are also excited to announce the addition of a new gate locking system for the pool & tennis courts.  For the safety and security of the neighborhood, we believe this new system will enable all homeowners to have full enjoyment of these areas.  Each family will be issued two proximity cards in order to access these areas.  Stay tuned for more information about this on-going project.

In keeping with our fiduciary duty to the neighborhood, the Board sought three bids from different vendors and selected an experienced vendor for the deck and gate lock projects.  Due to construction requirements imposed by the City of Sandy Springs, the deck construction costs increased by approximately $12,000.00.  A Certificate of Completion for the deck was issued on June 6, 2010 from the City of Sandy Springs.  

Due to cracking and wear & tear to the pool, it was determined the pool needs to be replastered.  A pool re-plastering lasts between 6 - 8 years and the Grogan's Bluff Pool was last plasterd eight years ago.  The pool will be re-plastered at the close of the 2010 swim season.  The Board will be seeking bids from pool plaster companies to complete the work and to supply a warranty of at least one year.

Summer Sundays at the Pool
Come to the pool each Sunday this summer to swim & socialize with your neighbors!  Bring your own tasty beverages and dinner to grill.  The Grogan's Bluff HOA will supply the charcoal and grill tools.  Relaxing with your friends at the pool is a great way to end your weekend and start a new week!  See you Sunday at the pool!

 Ice Cream Saturdays at the Pool!
The Grogan's Bluff Board will have ice cream for everyone at the pool on these Saturdays this summer:

Yoga is offered weekly at the clubhouse, on Tuesdays at 6:00pm.
Walk-ins are welcome. If you are interested in the Tuesday evening class, call Sam at 770-668-0006.

Women's Self Defense Class
Monthly
6-8pm
Sandy Springs Police Department

This is a basic self defense class taught by police defensive tactics instructors. There is no age limit, but women under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Waivers are required.

Movie Night in the Bluff

All families are invited to Movie Night in Beth & Al McConnell's front yard.  Kid-friendly movies are shown on a giant, blow up movie screen.  Bring a blanket to sit on, snacks to share & drinks...adult beverages for mommy & daddy are okay, too!  Mark your calendar with the following dates & join us for Movie Night in the Bluff!

Watch your Speed & the Stop Signs

Please watch your speed and stop at all stop signs as you drive through Grogan's Bluff.  Our friends and neighbors walk, ride their bicycles, and jog in our beautiful neighborhood.  Our children play in their yards.  We want everyone to be safe!  Make sure to obey the speed limit and traffic signs as you drive in the Bluff.
